Each year, all member churches of New Song come together with the aim to encourage and to get to know each other better. Since 2003, this meeting, called "Asamblea", lasts a whole weekend, and has e different them every year.  The Asamblea is organized and held in one of the cities where New Song operates. The weekend starts on Friday, after prayer, typically with an official opening, a word of welcome for the whole family of New Song and the guests. Followed by praise and worship, a word of our apostle Welton (Papie) Esprit, and a rundown on the program for the weekend. 

The program of Saturday differs from year to year and varies from sports, workshops, teambuilding (family) games and an occasional show. 

On Sunday the adults come together to praise and worship the Lord and to let the Holy Spirit minister to them. The needs of the family of New Song are always addressed by the Word of God. The apostle is in charge of bringing the message of that day. The children have their own service tailored for their age and understanding. The sundayschool teachers prepare a program according to the theme of the weekend. This program contains physical as well as reading activities, all with the goal to educate the children in the contents of the Bible, social skills and to encourage them to be the best they can be.Everyday there is ample opportunity to get (re)acquainted with members of the family living in other parts of the world.  

Asamblea 2010

This year it is New Song Arnhem’s turn to organize the Asamblea, but for the first time in the history of the Asamblea the event will not take place in the host city, Arnhem. Asamblea 2010 will take place at the Christian conference and holiday center "De Kroeze Danne" in Delden from October 1st to October 3rd.

The big difference this year is that we not only have a meeting place during the activities but “De Kroeze Danne” also offers sleeping quarters. Although the theme of this year has not been made public yet, preparations already started.
